Total lunar eclipse takes place on May 26, this is the best time to see it: Okezone Lifestyle

RIGHT on May 26, 2021, Indonesian territory will be able to see natural phenomena total lunar eclipse. Like what and when is the right time to observe this phenomenon?

A total lunar eclipse is a phenomenon when the moon’s orbit midwives are tilted 5 degrees bringing it parallel to the ecliptic plane of Planet Earth.

This phenomenon can only occur during the full moon or when the Earth is in the middle of the sun and moon. This causes the Earth to block sunlight that should be received by the moon.

But instead of being dark, when the peak of a total lunar eclipse occurs, Earth’s only satellite will appear red. This happens because the sun’s rays that are covered by the earth still flow through the Earth’s atmosphere.

Unfortunately for western Indonesia and central Indonesia, the moon has not yet risen at that hour.

The peak phase of the eclipse when most of the moon’s face is in the Earth’s umbra shadow. Will start at 18.11 WIB / 19.11 WIT / 20.11 WIT.

Luckily, at this moment the moon has risen in all parts of Indonesia, so the public can watch together.

Meanwhile, the peak phase of the lunar eclipse will occur at 18.18 WIB / 19.18 WIT / 20.18 WIT. This is the moment when the moon is red and red.

If you have a telescope, immediately observe the moon and capture as many as you can because this moment is quite rare.

Then the peak phase ends at 18.25 WIB / 19.25 WIT / 20.25 WIT. The redness of this month will gradually fade, but the “bite” on the moon’s face will still be observed until the partial eclipse ends at 19.25 WIB / 20.25 WIT / 21.52 WIT.
