Total Énergies Marketing Côte d’Ivoire, a leading company in the market for the distribution of multi-energy products and associated services, signed a partnership with the ex-footballer on Thursday January 11, 2024 in Abidjan during a ceremony Ivorian international Yao Kouassi Gervais known as Gervinho making the latter his new ambassador during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) and even beyond.
According to Almoktar Allahoury, the general director of TotalEnergies Marketing Côte d’Ivoire, this partnership with Gervinho, who is an emblematic figure of Ivorian football, testifies to TotalEnergies Marketing Côte d’Ivoire’s passion for football and its desire to always be close to the Ivorians.
“We are happy to have Yao Kouassi Gervais as our ambassador. It is a way for us to reaffirm our passion for football. Gervinho advocates excellence and team spirit on a daily basis. These are values incarnated by TotalEnergies and his collaborators,” said Mr. Allahoury.
In return, Gervinho said he was honored to have been chosen as an ambassador for TotalEnergies among so many talented footballers.
“I will do my best as your brand ambassador,” promised the former captain of the Ivorian football team.
Yao Kouassi Gervais, known as Gervinho, is a former Ivorian international footballer who made the heyday of the Ivorian football team with whom he won the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in 2015.
He played for several professional clubs including Arsenal, Lille LOSC and AS Roma.
The 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) will take place in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
