The confusion related to Tomas Pekhart began on November 2, after Warta Poznań’s league match with Legia Warsaw (0: 3). – Igor Lewczuk played with a fever, and Tomas Pekhart reported lack of smell and coldness during the break. We expect the worst – said Legia’s coach Czesław Michniewicz after the match. – I would like to clarify one point from the post-match conference. In one of the measurements of the temperature before the game, Igor had it slightly elevated within 37 degrees, it was not a fever. Another several temperature tests showed the correct result. After the match, Igor also took the temperature several times and each measurement was correct. We will monitor the situation in the team and react if necessary – said the coach of the Polish champions a day later.
The day after the match, Lewczuk and Pekhart underwent coronavirus tests, which gave a negative result. Last Friday Legion informed about the results of subsequent tests, which gave a negative result for Lewczuk and a positive result for one footballer, which turned out to be Bartosz Slisz.

Pekhart, however, healthy. The result of the last test turned out to be a mistake?
However, it did not end there, because before Pekhart was allowed to train with the team, he was sent for further tests. These also gave a negative result, thanks to which the player could go to the training camp of the Czech national team before the friendly match with Germany and the League of Nations matches with Israel and Slovakia.
– Before you start training with kadr± nationality, the Czech Federation, in accordance with the applicable regulations, coordinated the tests of players for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Tomas Pekhart’s test result was negative and allowed him to train with the national team. Another test was carried out before the match with the German team and in this case the result turned out to be positive. The player feels well and is under the constant observation of the medical staff – Legia Warszawa informed.
Pekhart underwent another test during the isolation at the training camp. And this one – as the portal informs Sports Facts of WP – gave a negative result, which means that the player is healthy and can train normally.
In the last 11 days, Pekhart has been tested for coronavirus five times. Four times the result was negative and one time positive. If the next tests do not reveal his illness, he will be able to play matches against Israel (Sunday 15/11) and Slovakia (Wednesday 18/11).
