Total Closure of Al-Wahat Road for 6 Months: Project to Develop and Raise Efficiency

The General Directorate of Giza Traffic announced a total closure of the Wahat Road for a period of 6 months. To complete the implementation of the project to develop and raise the efficiency of Al-Wahat Road.

The business area from the opposite side of the “Total” fuel station to the opposite side of the 6th of October drinking water station in the direction coming from Al Wahat Road towards the 6th of October regions.

The works require the total closure of Al-Wahat Road to traffic, provided that the implementation of these works takes place over the course of 24 hours, starting from 12 am on Friday, corresponding to 8/18/2023, until the morning of Friday, corresponding to 2/16/2024.

The Traffic Department is making a diversion of traffic on Al-Wahat Road in the direction coming from Fayoum Road to the new road (supporting road – main road) and creating (2 ramps) to enter the diversion path, as follows:

– The movement of vehicles on Al-Wahat Road in the direction coming from Al-Fayoum Road, and you wish to walk towards the areas of the Al-Motamayez neighborhood.

– The movement of vehicles on the Oasis Road in the direction coming from Fayoum Road, and you wish to walk towards the 6th of October areas, take the second (new) ramp leading to the alternative main road, and continue walking with the shunt path to return again to the main Oasis road after bypassing the business area to reach the 6th of October areas.

The General Directorate of Giza Traffic appointed the necessary traffic services in coordination with the implementing companies. To put technical assistance and all equipment indicating the presence of works in the region to ensure the security and safety of citizens.
