Total Assets Confiscated in the Indosurya Case Worth IDR 2 Trillion

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Directorate of Special Economic Crimes (Dittipideksus) Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Police has confiscated trillions of assets related to cases of fraud and embezzlement of the Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) Indosurya Cipta.

“Until now, the total assets confiscated in the Indosurya case by investigators have reached a value of Rp. 2 trillion,” said the Director of Special Economic Crimes (Dirtipideksus) of the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, to reporters on Tuesday (26/4/2022) night.

Whisnu explained that the latest assets confiscated by investigators related to the Indosurya case were a 2-floor apartment at Sudirman Suites Apartment worth Rp 160 billion. The confiscation, he continued, was carried out on April 21, 2022.

“Bareskrim is submitting a confiscation determination on the two floors of the luxury apartment. The confiscation decision is submitted to the Central Jakarta District Court,” he said.

In addition, according to him, investigators have also conducted a special case in mid-April 2022 yesterday.

He added that the case title also involved elements of supervision and functions in the Police, such as the Wassidik Bareskrim Bureau, Itwasum policePropam Polri and the Legal Division of the Police.

“In the title of the case, it was concluded that the investigation process had been carried out according to the procedures and provisions,” he said.

Bareskrim had previously named 3 suspects in fraud cases with the modus KSP Indosurya Cipta.

Two suspects, Henry Surya and June Indria, have been arrested. Meanwhile, another person named Suwito Ayub is still a fugitive.

The police have also published red notice to find Suwito. It is suspected that he has fled abroad.

“Here, we have asked Divhubinter for assistance in issuing a red notice. Hopefully, its whereabouts are known,” said Whisnu to reporters at the Indosurya Building, Central Jakarta, Thursday (10/3/2022).

In addition to issuing a red notice, investigators have also confiscated several assets in the Indosurya case.

Some of them are the Indosurya KSP Building, which is located on Jalan MH Thamrin Number 3, Gambir, Central Jakarta. According to Whisnu, the building is worth Rp 1.2 trillion.
