In Saudi Arabia, heavy rains occurred in Riyadh, Al-Kharj, Al-Qassim, Burida, Dammam, Al-Khobar, Al-Ahsa, Al-Jubeil and other areas, as a result of which the main highways and underpasses of the cities were flooded while vehicles were swept away in the water.
According to Saudi media reports, as a result of heavy stormy rains, apart from Saudi urban areas, desert valleys have also been filled with rainwater.
Rain water entered the business centers resulting in the cancellation of several flights.
According to Saudi media, due to rain in the cities of Dammam and Al-Khobar in Saudi Arabia, the municipality has closed all underpasses and bridges, while instructions have been issued to the people to stay at home.
Regarding heavy rains, the Saudi Department of Meteorology and Traffic Police say that the weather will remain uncertain for the next two days, people should avoid unnecessary travel and going to desert valleys.
On the other hand, there was heavy rain in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Heavy rains started from Fujairah state of United Arab Emirates last day. An alternative transport plan has been prepared for the passengers of Dubai Airport.
Due to heavy rains in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, educational institutions have been instructed to take online classes for 2 days and work from home in private offices.
