Toronto could count on Fred VanVleet, who was good for 35 points. On the other side, Evan Fournier’s twenty points were not enough, as were the nineteen points of both Obi Toppin and RJ Barrett. With this win, the Raptors are in tenth place in the Eastern Conference standings, just ahead of New York.

Jaylen Brown had a major share in Boston’s 116-111 win against Orlando with fifty points. Brown was especially on track in the fourth quarter. With 21 points, he brought his team back into the game after Orlando had a 14-point margin with more than four minutes to go. Brown gave the home team the lead with thirty seconds on the clock, after which Orlando dragged out another extension thanks to a score from Tim Frazier. Boston turned out to be just a bit sharper in this.

Phoenix, the runner-up behind Golden State in the west, was way too strong for Charlotte: 99-133. Devin Booker excelled at the Suns with 24 points.
