Grief still surrounds Abdul Hafiyz’s family. His son who this month grew up had to leave him forever in a tragic way.
LEH (16) was killed in the area Tarumajaya, Bekasi Regency, on Saturday (5/2). The motive was that the victim was beaten to death after being accused of being a thief.
Like a thunderbolt in broad daylight, Abdul couldn’t believe his son had to die like that. He remembers the first time he saw his son’s body after being beaten to death.
From a distance of about 5 meters, Abdul saw a body bag. Near the body bag, he saw his son’s motorbike lying.
“Then I was led. I saw that my child’s face was a bit blurry because it was covered in blood. Then I brought my face closer, then I made sure this was my child,” he said when contacted, Friday (11/2).
Victim Dies One Week Before 17th Birthday
Abdul told about the unfortunate incident that befell his first child. He said the victim died exactly a week before his 17th birthday.
“This is the first of four children. He was born on February 13, 2005, died February 6, 2022. So exactly seven days before his 17th birthday,” said LEH’s father, Abdul Hafiyz, when contacted detik.comFriday (11/2).
On Saturday (5/2) around 21.30 WIB, this was the last time he saw LEH. Abdul at that time felt tired so he went to sleep early.
Abdul admitted that his sleep was uncomfortable that night. He felt like his body had been drenched in water until his clothes were soaking wet.
“At 22.30 WIB I woke up, my clothes were soaking wet. The sheets were also wet as if they had been poured with water, this was not like usual. But I thought it was because I was still weak and sleepy heavy, I just change clothes, then sleep again,” he recalls.
Abdul’s sleep woke up before dawn. At that time, Mr. RW called him to ask about LEH’s whereabouts.
Abdul panicked and rushed out of his room to LEH’s room. But he did not see his son in the room.
This father of four children then went to the security gate of his housing complex. At that time he saw Mr. RW and other residents until the police were already crowded at the location.
Abdul was questioned by the police at the location. There was also a body bag there. It was the moment that made Abdul realize that his son had died.
