Tornado killed several – IL follows –

The dreaded and powerful Milton hurricane has hit the Florida peninsula.

Hurricane Milton’s winds blowing 250 kilometers per hour arrived from the sea on the Florida peninsula on Thursday night Finnish time.

Milton is now at level three on the five-step hurricane scale. The strength of the wind is believed to decrease before reaching the mainland.

The strong wind, heavy rain and the water level raised by the hurricane have caused a lot of destruction even before the hurricane arrived in the state of Florida in all its ferocity.

Florida’s coast launched the largest evacuation in state history. Five and a half million people were instructed to leave their homes. Those remaining in the area were advised to seek shelter.

The biggest threat posed by Milton is the tornadoes it spawns.

As the hurricane moves across the Florida peninsula, it is expected to spawn dozens of tornadoes in the region that includes the state’s largest cities, Miami, Tampa and Orlando.

Milton accelerated from a tropical depression to a Category 5 hurricane in just three days. According to researchers, the phenomenon is clearly linked to global warming.
