The next strike day organized by the intersyndicale is scheduled for Thursday, April 6, 2023. Some unions, such as SUD-PTT 35 et Solidarity 35nevertheless call for a new mobilization against the pension reform, Tuesday, April 4, 2023which will take the form ofa torchlight procession in the streets of Rennes.
The SUD-PTT union in Ille et Vilaine sees no other way out than to ensure that the Macron government is forced to withdraw this law.
Departure should be Republic Squarearound 19h.
The reasons for this event
The SUD-PTT trade union of Ille et Vilaine thinks it is necessary to “maintain the continuity of the movement” by calling for a demonstration on Tuesday, April 4.
It emphasizes on four dots:
– “Many sectors have been on strike for several weeks, for example, waste collection employees from Pacé and Chartres de Bretagne…”
– “The Macron government, after closing the door with a 49.3, receives the united intersyndicale on Wednesday, April 5, a rather lunar meeting since no one knows either the agenda or the real intentions”.
– “While some speak of appeasement, the Minister of the Interior gesticulates and handles the stick and the threat of dissolution of organizations and associations ranging from what he calls “the ultra left” to ecological organizations “.
– “Since March 11, 2023, the strategy of “maintaining order” has changed particularly in Rennes where the prefect’s hobby is to have the CDI and the CRS 8 systematically attack the student procession at the head of the demonstration. This strategy is fraught with dangers and tragedies like what happened on April 28, 2016 during demonstrations against the labor law.
The last torchlight demonstration in Rennes took place on Tuesday March 21, 2023.
