Torano New. A sum of 767 thousand euros for the reconstruction of the municipal gymnasium and the multipurpose hall.

In the new ordinances signed by the extraordinary commissioner for reconstruction, Giovanni Legnini, with whom, among other things, the single list of public works programs is approved as well as the procedures for simplifying and accelerating public reconstruction, the Municipality of Torano Nuovo is among the beneficiaries of a sum of 767,341.79, which will be used for the renovation of the two public structures damaged by the 2016 earthquake.

A path that is completed, given that the municipal administration (with a resolution of the council of June 2019), had given a very specific address: to allocate in favor of interventions in the gymnasium and in the multipurpose room the foni allocated by the Special Reconstruction Office .

Times. The recent deed signed by the Commissioner allows to give a decisive acceleration to this reconstruction work and according to the provisions of the ordinance n. 109, by 31 December the Municipality must submit a detailed time schedule of all the phases for the definition of the contract and the execution of the works; furthermore, the design tasks must be entrusted by 31 March 2021.

Thanks also go to those who, before the undersigned was in office – I refer, in particular, to the former councilor and current regional councilor Dino Pepe, to the previous municipal administration led by the mayor Alessandro Di Giacinto as well as to the technicians who assisted the latter – they followed with care the phases (and the procedures) necessary to allow our territory to be the beneficiary of funding for reconstruction.

Territory, which – it should be remembered – despite being a Municipality “outside the crater”, therefore not located in that “preferential lane” enjoyed by the Municipalities of the crater for the purpose of allocating resources for reconstruction, after having seen funding for the safety of the Madonna delle Grazie Church, reopened a year ago, now sees the start of another important work.

Therefore, we can only be pleased with this news and immediately get to work ensuring the maximum commitment, together with the offices, to carry out this necessary and awaited reconstruction work that will finally allow the pupils of our school to find an adequate space for the development. physical activity, to young people and to those who wish to have a gym to practice sports and to the entire community that, finally, will be able to have the multipurpose room available again.
