Toptable (CEO Hyunjoo Yoo), which won the Best Innovation Award and the Innovation Award at CES 2024, will soon launch a commercial renewal version of the 3D food printer Foodian 3.0.

Toptable (CEO Hyunjoo Yoo), a company developing a 3D food printing system in the food tech field, announced that it won the Best Innovation Award in the Food & AgTech category and the Innovation Award in the Smart Home category at CES 2024 held in Las Vegas, USA. The 3D food printer Foodian 3.0, which was renewed and released for commercial use this year, enables hygienic food production by applying a chamber-type design and features greatly improved user convenience.

Top Table announced that it won the Best Innovation Award in the Food & AgTech category and the Innovation Award in the Smart Home category at CES 2024. Top Table has been developing the Foodian series of 3D food printers to respond to the rapid growth of the personalized food market. This series consists of Foodian 1.0, which is used for educational purposes, and 2.0 and 3.0, which were developed for commercial use. The success rate of AI-based printing was increased through food material processing technology and database construction, and a prediction model was developed to receive new technology certification. In addition, at CES 2023, it won an innovation award for its technology to create customized food based on CAD design by reflecting the ingredients, shape, and texture desired by consumers.

In particular, the 3D food printer Foodian 3.0, which was renewed for commercial use this year, adopts a chamber-type design to enable hygienic food production and significantly improves user convenience. Foodian 3.0 will be released soon.

‘IINK’, newly introduced at CES 2024, is a personalized nutrition provision system based on a 4D food printing system. This system applies an innovative technology that sets the melting point of nutritional substances within the human body and encapsulates them through interaction with the liquid phase. This is a technology that can control the absorption point of customized nutritional supplements into the body, providing an advanced customized solution that goes beyond 3D printing.

Top Table is implementing a strategy based on two business models. First, it is the ‘Foodian System’ targeting ‘food entertainment’ that combines “customized + non-face-to-face + visual fun elements”. Currently, the 3D food printer ‘Foodian’ series has completed KC, CE, FCC certification and new/green technology certification, and is being supplied to domestic food tech-related departments and education companies. In addition, we plan to develop the “GoYoo System,” a cake lettering and dessert manufacturing system for stores, and introduce it to major food company franchises, and are seeking to enter the global market by applying it to domestic cafes and bakeries.

Second, it is an ‘ink system’ that combines “customized + health functional food + home use” elements. In 2023, a demonstration project was implemented in Seoul and Jeonbuk Province. Starting with basic vitamin and mineral supply services, we plan to strengthen consumer-tailored nutritional services by providing premium services that add individually recognized raw materials.
