Toprak Tests the First MotoGP Bike, What’s the Impression?

Jakarta

World Super Bike World Champion last season, Toprak Razgatliogluhave tried the motor Yamaha from MotoGP. This is the Turkish rider’s impression of the YZR-M1.

In Aragon, Spain, Tuesday (21/6/2022), Toprak completed the first lap with a MotoGP machine. Yamaha wants to see how Toprak adapts to MotoGP bikes.

“This is my first time riding an M1. The MotoGP bike is completely different from my R1. More power, different electronics, with a seamless gearbox – all that is really new for me,” said Toprak at Speedweek.

“I learn a lot every lap because it’s not easy to get used to the MotoGP bike. The bike feels different, especially on the straights where it’s very fast and the carbon brakes are very interesting,” he added.

Soil not alone in undergoing a test riding a MotoGP motorbike. The 25-year-old rider received guidance from Yamaha test rider Calcrutchlow.

“Fortunately Cal was there because he could help me a lot,” said Toprak.

“It was very hot, so after the first lap we limited ourselves to six to five laps. When I saw the Aragoan MotoGP on TV, I could see that it was a little bumpy and I could feel it.”

“But, this is not good, you just have to keep your hands there not to release the gas when you are on a bumpy road. If you release the gas, the motorbike becomes more unstable,” said Soil add.
