A phase defect is a small object with a strong gravitational force and is thought to be indistinguishable from a black hole at first glance. However, unlike black holes, topological defects do not have a central singularity.
This is because space-time, which is extremely complicated, prevents it from collapsing into a single point with no size. On the other hand, since the “winding up of spacetime” is also visible on the surface, it is thought to affect the appearance of phase defects.
