Ukrainian gas stations may not have enough fuel
To protect yourself from underfilling fuel at a gas station, you should follow five simple rules. In particular, in the warm season, refuel in the mornings, when the resource in the containers has not yet warmed up.
This is stated in the material “Your car”. They note: if you refuel at a gas station whose tanks are in the open sun or when gasoline has just been poured into it from a heated fuel tanker, then in liters you may get the required volume, but in grams of fuel there will be less. And this means that “and you will travel two or three kilometers less on it.”
In addition, it is noted that you should choose large networks of gas stations with modern equipment. After all, they protect their reputation “and do not deceive clients.”
The authors of the material also advise refueling from the same pump where another car has just refueled – since this guarantees that the fuel is pumped and the pump is lubricated from the inside. And besides this:
avoid unknown gas stations; refuel the car yourself or pour fuel into cans that are marked accordingly.
In general, it is emphasized that in Ukraine there is no widespread problem with underfilling of fuel. However, it is also impossible to say that this does not happen at all.
“If such unpleasant situations happen, then, most likely, at some unknown or illegal filling stations where the price is lower than on the market, and the equipment is outdated and not checked regularly,” the authors of the material summarize.
As OBOZ.UA reported, at the same time, 53 gas stations of the Avantage7 network, which positions itself as a “fuel discounter,” were closed in Ukraine. The company lost its fuel retail license for the specified number of stations. At the same time, media reports that gas stations continue to operate.
