Frank Dillela, host of On Stage on our sister network NY1, shares with us his list of shows and plays that he recommends for this week.

An electrifying new production of THE WHO’S TOMMY is in previews at the Netherlander Theatre.

Based on the rock concept album by the famous band The Who, the musical centers on Tommy Walker, the pinball wizard. Des McAnuff, original director of TOMMY in 1993, returns to direct this production, scheduled to premiere on March 28.

Award-winning Alan Cumming returns to the Studio 54 stage with his new show ALAN CUMMING IS NOT ACTING HIS AGE. You can see him this Monday and March 25 on stage covering topics ranging from sex to death, he will also delight the audience with Broadway songs and some of his favorite contemporary songs.

An off-Broadway play is TEETH, the latest musical from Tony winner Michael R. Jackson. Now playing at Playwrights Horizons.

Audiences will meet Dawn O’Keefe, played by Alyse Alan Louis, an evangelical Christian with a secret. And be careful, men! If you come across her, you will discover something special.

SUCCESSION executive producer and writer Lucy Prebble is back on the New York stage with her critically acclaimed THE EFFECT.

Directed by celebrated director Jamie Lloyd, THE EFFECT tells the story of Connie and Tristan, who participate in a clinical trial of a drug, which causes them to begin to fall in love.
