PT Indofarma (Persero) Tbk provides test services polymerase chain reaction or PCR test to detect the corona virus at a price of IDR 750 thousand. This price is cheaper than the maximum price set by the government, which is IDR 900 thousand.
“They issued a PCR test of Rp. 750 thousand,” said the Special Staff of the Minister of BUMN for Communication, Arya Sinulingga, as quoted from the Instagram account of the Ministry of BUMN, Saturday (10/10/2020).
With a lower cost, Arya hopes that there will be more COVID-19 tests in Indonesia so that the handling of the Corona virus can really be resolved.
“So that the range of tests that are needed is getting wider, the more will be and that will enable us to handle Corona well,” he explained.
Apart from that, Arya said Indofarma also succeeded in producing a Corona treatment drug named Desrem Remdesevir. This drug can be used in inpatients with COVID-19.
In addition, Kimia Farma has also succeeded in producing a Corona drug called Favipiravir.
“Hopefully this drug can provide additional drugs for friends who are affected by Corona and this is the commitment that Pak Jokowi has pushed for so that our pharmaceutical industry is no longer dependent on foreign products so that our dependence on drugs imported from outside. the country is decreasing, “he said.
Previously, the Ministry of Health had issued an SE regarding the maximum cost limit PCR test Corona virus. In the circular, the maximum cost limit for an independent PCR test is IDR 900 thousand.
The circular letter numbered HK.02.02 / I / 3713/2020 concerning the Highest Tariff Limit for RT-PCR Examination. The letter was signed by Acting Director General of Health Services Prof. Dr. Abdul Kadir on October 5, 2020.
“The highest tariff limit for RT-PCR examinations including swab taking is Rp 900,000 (Nine Hundred Thousand Rupiah),” the letter said.
