IXIC: * AMERICAN EXPRESS AXP.N beat its second-quarter profit forecast on Friday as its affluent customers continued to spend. The group reported earnings of $2.89 per share, with the average consensus reaching $2.81, according to data from Refinitiv. * CHWY CHWY.N is up 2.3% before the open, as billionaire investor Steven Cohen said he held a passive 5.8% stake in the company. * WARNER BROS WBD.O and MATTEL MAT.O are on the rise ahead of the opening, with the movie “Barbie” hitting theaters around the world on Friday.
