Top Selling Smartphone Brands in August 2023: Apple Leads, Samsung Experiences Decline

With the developing technology, the place of smartphones in our lives has also increased. While these phones that we carry in our pockets are almost a part of our lives, the demand for mobile phones has started to increase day by day in this context.

Sharing data on technology, Statcounter announced its market shares in the smartphone industry as of August 2023. While Apple took the first place in the announced list, Samsung took the second place, showing that it experienced a decline in sales.

TOP SELLERS IN AUGUST 2023

According to Statcounter data, the top selling smartphone brand is Apple with 28.44 percent, followed by Samsung with 24 percent. In line with these data, it is possible to say that Samsung has experienced a decline recently.

With a market share of 27.1 percent in March data, Samsung experienced a noticeable decline in just a few months. Looking at the rest of the list, we see that Samsung is followed by the Chinese brand Xiaomi with 11.21 percent.

Statcounter shared the sales data in Turkey as well as the world data. In this context, the market shares of Türkiye in August 2023 were determined as follows:

Samsung: 22.21 percent

Apple: 18.62 percent

Xiaomi: 12.96 percent

Huawei: 5.95 percent

Oppo: 2.71 percent

Realme: 0.78 percent

General Mobile: 0.61 percent

Vivo: 0.53 percent

Tecno: 0.41 percent

Other: 2.62 percent
