Serdar Dursun from Darmstadt 98 has taken the top scorer’s crown in the 2nd Bundesliga. Dursun increased his hit count at the season finale to 27. Simon Terodde from Hamburg followed in second place (24 goals).
After the 1980/81 season, the lilies are the top scorer in the second division for the second time. Horst Neumann had also scored 27 hits in the southern season.
The record scorer in the 2nd division remains Dieter Schatzschneider, top scorer in the 1982/83 season. The attacker had scored a total of 154 goals for Hannover 96 and Fortuna Köln between 1978 and 1987.
The most top scorer in the league history is Arminia Bielefeld (7). Six players from the ranks of Karlsruher SC were able to set the record.
