Top! Putin’s ‘Savior’, Armenian-Azerbaijan War Cease

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to a ceasefire, which begins today, Saturday (10/10/2020) to exchange prisoners and those killed in the conflict between Azeri and Armenian ethnic forces in the Nagorno-Karabkh region. This was conveyed directly by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Lavrov explained that the decision to carry out a ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan, following the fighting on September 27, 2020, which has killed hundreds of people. The ceasefire began at midnight.

Launch Reuters, Saturday (10/10/2020) Lavrov, who mediated negotiations in Moscow, announced a ceasefire at 3 am (midnight local time) after 10 hours of talks with Armenia and Azeri. He also said Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to start talks on resolving the conflict.

Russia’s Supreme Diplomat added that the International Committee of the Red Cross would also act as an intermediary in humanitarian operations.

However, he did not provide details about the talks, but said the Organization for Security and Cooperation in the European Minsk Group (OSCE) would intervene.

The fighting was the worst since the 1991-1994 war that killed around 30,000 people and ended in a ceasefire that was repeatedly violated.

Azerbaijan said on Friday (9/10/2020) that 31 Azeri civilians had been killed and 168 injured since September 27. Has not disclosed information about military casualties.

Nagorno-Karabakh said its 376 military personnel and 22 civilians had died since the start of the conflict.
