The Starlite Gala, the event that brings together actors, singers, models, athletes and socialites in Marbella every summer, celebrated its fifteenth anniversary in style: with Antonio Banderas and Sandra García-Sanjuán once again shining as hosts, and organised by the foundation of the same name, it featured Valeria Mazza and comedian Carlos Latre as masters of ceremony and the stellar presence of Will Smith, the guest of honour who, amidst laughter and speaking a very particular splanghish, was in charge of the auction with which they raised funds. In addition, the event at the spectacular La Cantera de Nagüeles venue served to present the 2024 Gala Starlite Solidarity Awards, with which the organizers recognize the charitable work of different personalities, such as Carlos Vives, who through his Fundación Tras la Perla develops his commitment to those most in need in his hometown, Santa Marta, Colombia, or Javier “Pupi” Zanetti, the former Argentine soccer player, who channels his efforts to help others through the Pupi Foundation.

LONG LIVE MEXICO!
This year, the party was dedicated to Mexico – special mention for the decoration, the menu and the styling of some of the attendees, such as Valeria Mazza, who wore a design that Gabriel Lage made especially for the occasion – one of the places where the Starlite Foundation carries out its philanthropic work with the Children in Joy Foundation. At mid-evening, India Martínez went up on stage and thrilled everyone with her show and, towards the end, a large cake closed the celebration while Miguel Poveda sang the mañanitas for the 15th anniversary of the Gala and Juan Peña sang “Happy Birthday” for Carlos Vives, Puppi Zanetti, Alejandro Gravier, Paula Echevarría and the Kimpel twins (Nicole is Antonio Banderas’ partner), who blow out the candles these days.
