Without substance or exactly the right idea at the right time? At least Roger Federer started a discussion with his proposal.

The proposal would be a tennis revolution. Roger Federer shares the idea of merging the WTA and the ATP this week on Twitter. The Swiss tennis star is convinced that having the organizers of the women’s and men’s tours under one roof would make things a lot easier.
“It didn’t solve a problem at all,” the top official told video service provider Omnisport. “I also see it somewhat critically to use this media-free time now – maybe he needs more followers on his Twitter account – to simply knock out such a proposal without substance.” That sits!

The problem with Federer’s idea? For Hordorff it was thought far too short. The problems of international tennis are not solved by bringing ATP and WTA together. «This is short and not enough. It starts with the ITF and the Grand Slams. These are the crucial starting points. » (sme)
