A new week with new films showing in cinemas, three of which are being presented today – by radioeins-Kino King Knut Elstermann.
Back To Black: After the documentary about Amy Winehouse (“Amy – The Girl Behind The Name” by Asif Kapadia), this British feature film is now coming to cinemas. Director Sam Taylor-Johnson (“Nowhere Boy” about the young John Lennon, “Fifty Shades of Gray”) tells the story of the singer’s ten years of life until her far-too-early death at just 27 years old.
A stroke of luck: What is luck, what is coincidence? Can luck be forced, can chance be controlled? These eternal questions permeate Woody Allen’s new film, a subtle comedy with traces of a bourgeois psychological thriller mixed in, as if Claude Chabrol had been the inspiration.
Be a winner: From Syria to Wedding in Berlin: Mona (played with ravishing power and sensitivity by Dileyla Agirman) flees with her mother and brothers to Berlin, where she is completely overwhelmed in a chaotic school – by the language, by her classmates, by of strangeness. Luckily, teacher Che (also great, played with rough charm and sincerity: Andreas Döhler) recognizes her great soccer talent and brings her into the previously lousy girls’ team.
