The match in Krakow started with an earthquake – in the 2nd minute, the guests took the lead thanks to Stolarski, who was somewhat lucky to have the ball in the penalty area, but was able to take advantage of his situation.
The guests’ response was immediate, because already in the 6th minute Olafsson took advantage of the lack of decisiveness of Motor’s defense and blocked Hasić’s cross.
Less than ten minutes of the match have passed and we have already seen three goals. Król centered very well into the penalty area, where Scalet found himself and put his team in the lead again. Ravas already had the ball in his hands, but in an inexplicable way it eventually found its way into the net.
Later, the game slowed down a bit on both sides, Cracovia looked for an equalizing goal for a long time, took the initiative, but had to wait until the end of the first half to score their next goal in the match.
In the 44th minute, Olafsson scored a double, hitting the net from the closest distance, and in a rather bizarre way. After Kallman’s shot, the goalkeeper hit the ball, which bounced off the Icelander and into the net.
Unfortunately, after a great first half, the temperature in the second half became very lukewarm – the game became more jerky, and more chaos crept into the actions of both teams.
After an hour of play, Samper made a beautiful pass, but Ndiaye, who went for a perpendicular ball, passed the goalkeeper and then shot so weakly that the returning defenders were able to handle the shot.
However, the hosts gradually gained the advantage, creating more opportunities and trying to get all the points. In the 72nd minute, Olafsson scored for the third time, taking advantage of a very good corner kick.
Five minutes later, “Pasy” took an important step to close the match. The motor started to attack, it wanted to play fast and this lost the newcomer – a disastrous pass when trying to restart the game from a free kick was intercepted, and one simple pass put Kallman in a clear position. The Cracovia striker had no problems with beating the goalkeeper. He had no similar problems a moment later, when after a quick counterattack he found himself in the penalty area again. Two goals in an interval of several dozen seconds led the hosts to 5:2 and sealed the victory.
Bochniak added the sixth goal for the Pasy team, and the hosts could only count down the seconds until the final whistle. After the first half, in which Motor set the bar high, a much more enjoyable part of the match came for Cracovia, in which they put on a shooting display.
A great performance meant that “Pasy” advanced to the league podium, behind Lech and Raków.
