Within the framework of the Country Expothe delivery of the CiTA Awards 2023, awarded by the International Center for Innovation in Agricultural Technology. The award distinguishes and highlights the 100 innovative developments that contribute the most to achieving productive and sustainable efficiency in agriculture in our country.
The province of Santa Fe presented 14 developments, of which three received awards and two special mentions. In addition, the highest award also stayed in Santa Fe.
The three winners
Animal Production Category and CiTA de Oro:
– Vaccine strain against bovine leukosis virus (Inta Rafaela, Santa Fe and University of Liège).
Leucosis is an endemic viral disease that affects more than 80% of dairy farms in Argentina and causes 10% mortality of affected animals, as well as a reduction in the reproductive capacity of the herd. Until now, there was no prevention or treatment system. The work focused on obtaining a product that has the ability to interrupt the transmission cycle.

Agricultural Agtech category:
– IOT Core (DVL)
This telemetry equipment collects data from sensors and sends it over networks such as NB-IoT, Cat-M1, and LORA. The information is displayed on an online platform accessible from any device.
Postharvest Equipment and Accessories Category:
– Grain extractor ER910 Plus (Richiger)
Guarantees environmental sustainability in the collection of grains. The bag rolls are formed simultaneously to the emptying of the silo, without intermediate steps. The machine ties and ejects 200m rolls of 10ft silobags, each weighing approximately 200Kg, ready for transport and recycling at processing centers.
