Top handball star Estavana Polman makes her debut this year as a TV presenter. She will take on the role of a tour guide in the new series of Better late than never on SBS6, confirms a spokesperson for Talpa after reporting about this The Telegraph.
Polman follows in the footsteps of Olcay Gulsen and Katja Schuurman, who were tour guides in the first two seasons broadcast on RTL. In the new series, another group of elderly celebrities travel together. Earlier this week it was announced that Edwin Rutten (80), Ad Visser (76), Frits Barend (76) and Henny Huisman (71) are participating.
“I think it’s great to go on a trip with these special men and youth idols of many Dutch people and to get to know them better,” says 30-year-old Polman, also known as a girlfriend of former footballer Rafael van der Vaart, to The Telegraph.
“I’m really looking forward to the adventures we’re going to have and the conversations that ensue. Hopefully I can keep up with the outspoken foursome. That it will be an unforgettable journey is one thing I know for sure.”
In 2018 and 2020, Gerard Cox, Peter Faber, Barrie Stevens and Willibrord Frequin traveled together. Earlier it became clear that they would not return. Frequin also died last May at the age of eighty.
