A Châtelleraultthe Nautical Society is participating in heritage days for the first time and is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year. Rowing, swimming, tennis and sailing, you will know everything about the history of this place, from yesterday’s champions to today’s materials! (A visit accessible to PRMs)
A Civauxthe archaeological museum offers in addition to its indoor and outdoor visits, activities for young audiences, Saturday and Sunday (some by reservation). As a bonus, an antique games evening is organized on Friday evening.
A Iteuilyou can learn about mosaics and enjoy a storytelling evening… The artist Tania Bedin lends you her tools and presents her work to you. Later in the evening, she gives way to storyteller François Godard. Places are limited (the bread oven entertainment part is canceled). In this same place, vintage cars reveal their mechanics and invite you on board. Still on the craftsman section, why not dive into a forge? A Niortthe old hospital takes you into a family treasure hunt (over 10 years old, team of 6, reservation required). A fun afternoon to extend with an unusual concert/show.
A Lezaythe home of Bouhas, its dovecote, its oven and its walls dating from the 14th and 16th centuries, open to your curiosity. Free admission. Visit commented by the owners.
A Cognacthe museum of cognac know-how opens its doors free of charge. Various exhibitions, guided tours and still room in the young audience workshop! HAS Angoulemeyou have passed this facade a thousand times, this time you will have the right to enter well beyond the usual welcome. The prefecture of Charente will have no more secrets for you, both its architecture and its missions! It’s free, but requires registration. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, cultivate and exercise at the same time; in the very north of the department, bordering Deux-Sèvres, has Londignythe Fit’n Forme association has prepared a guided sports tour of the town! Castle of the knights, wash house, mills and church to discover by Nordic walking (poles can be lent)!
A Loixon the island of Ré, same formula combining sport and heritage, with a little culture as a bonus. A theater company takes you to explore the salt marshes by bike. It’s free, but you have to register. The only condition is to bring your bike! A jewel of our living heritage if ever there was one, the Poitou donkey awaits you in Dampierre-sur-Boutonne. The Asinerie du Baudet du Poitou welcomes you to meet its animals free of charge. This is without a doubt the most original release you will find… A Saintesthe Aquarelle swimming pool is organizing an introduction to diving for the second time. A particularity, this slightly sporty baptism, with bottle on the back and mask, is coupled with the discovery of the profession of underwater archaeologist. Enough to convince you of the damage caused by magnet fishing!
