Two original heritage tours in Guillestre

Two visits to Guillestre will be organized by the Pays d’art et d’histoire department. Wednesday, July 12 will be offered an active, unusual and sensory exploration. From alleys to squares and from fortifications to religious buildings, participants will go back in time and take up challenges in order to find the treasures. Thursday, July 13, it is by the light of torches and the voice of the guide, that the participants will discover with another eye, the riches of the old center. Originally from the Paris region, the members of the French group Debout sur le zinc borrow their melodies from rock, gypsy, Yiddish, Irish and oriental rhythms. The independent anti-globalization group will come to present its tenth album entitled “The Importance of Winter”. Poetic dances, intimate hymns, vignettes of the times: the six artists of Debout sur le Zinc, relentless on tour, will offer spectators fourteen generous, frank, deep songs. An evening of support for the solidarity shelter l’Abri Janvier is organized. This place of reception was created on the initiative of inhabitants of Guillestrois to relieve the solidarity refuge of Briançon. At 7 p.m., a moment of poetry will be offered with the cabaret show by Yves Artufel and Dominique Oury, The poet is from the country where you are. After a meal break, the three musicians of the Tchayok group will, at 9 p.m., take the public on a journey to traditional Slavic and Gypsy music.
