Die Bundesliga starts again. The 2023/24 season again promises great excitement in all regions of the table. After numerous star departures, the question of which players can follow in the footsteps of Nkunku, Bellingham and Co. is particularly exciting.
Before the new season, we therefore tried to predict the 90 best Bundesliga players for the coming year. These are our places 40 to 31:

Association: Eintracht Frankfurt
Position: attacking midfielder
After his arrival at Eintracht, Lindstrom (surprisingly) quickly blossomed into a top performer. The offensive player convinces with fine technique, playfulness and good dribbling skills – no wonder that he is repeatedly associated with a wide variety of top clubs. And its development is far from over.

Association: Bayer Leverkusen
Position: Striker
After Patrik Schick was out again, Bayer 04 had to step up their game in the center of the attack – and brought a very exciting player on board in Victor Boniface. The Nigerian is assertive, blessed with a nose for goals and is also a team player. It’s not a hot take when we predict that Leverkusen will still have a lot of fun with Boniface.

Association: Borussia Dortmund
Position: Winger
Donyell Malen was already labeled a flop at BVB and should be sold – but the past second half of the season changed his standing in Dortmund by 180 degrees. Malen had previously seemed like a foreign body, but after Sebastien Haller’s return he was suddenly able to turn it up and show all the qualities that Black and Yellow had hoped for from his signing. If he can build on that, he will become a weapon for BVB.

Position: left defender
Left-back has been a problem area for the Werkself for years – with Grimaldo it should be top-performing for several years to come! Because the Spaniard, trained in the youth of FC Barcelona, has developed into a player of international stature at his former club Benfica. There aren’t many better players in his position in the Bundesliga!

Position: Winger
Adeyemi was Dortmund’s star transfer in 2022 – and after certain initial difficulties, he was able to fully ignite by the second half of the season at the latest. The national player’s speed is unrivaled in the Bundesliga, which is why Adeyemi can outperform his opponents on a regular basis. He still has to get his fallism and theatricality under control, then he can become a big one.

Position: right defender
Pavard is one of those players who never stands out but is incredibly reliable. For years he has had to help out on the right side of defense, although his favorite position is clearly in the center – there the Frenchman tends to be a bit stronger there. What is particularly impressive for a defender: Pavard’s shooting technique is one of the best in the Bundesliga!

Position: Striker
At Werder Bremen there is (rightly) a lot of talk about Niclas Füllkrug, but one should not forget his congenial strike partner in the hymns of praise. Because Ducksch has blossomed into a formidable Bundesliga striker who has almost no weaknesses. You should keep a close eye on him not only for the coming season, but also for the EM 2024.

Position: goalkeeper
Omlin had the difficult task of inheriting a certain Yann Sommer at Borussia Mönchengladbach. After just six months, one can say with good reason that he succeeded. The keeper impressed right away with strong performances and as a spokesman, which is why he was even appointed the new captain after Lars Stindl left. One of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga!

Granit Xhaka is back in the Bundesliga – and will immediately be a very important player for Xabi Alonso and Bayer Leverkusen. The Swiss couples footballing class with healthy tackle toughness and leadership qualities and should immediately raise the midfield of the Werkself to a new level.

Position: Central defender
Piero Hincapie is undoubtedly one of the most exciting defenders in the Bundesliga. The Ecuadorian can play both inside and on the left without much loss of quality and at 21 still has a lot of potential. Hincapie was already on the list of top international clubs this summer – in 2024 they are guaranteed to try again.
