Who wouldn’t remember the winter comedy Sněženky a machři (1983) about second-year students from a Prague grammar school who go on a compulsory ski course. The main roles were played by Jan Antonín Duchoslav, Michal Suchánek, Radoslav Brzobohatý and Václav Kopta. Years later, the group reunited in a free sequel to a successful film called simply Snowdrops and Gnats after 25 years (2008). Viktor Tauš took over the direction.

Professor Karda (Radoslav Brzobohatý), who is not very successful in running the Severka tourist hut in the Krkonoše Mountains, will meet his former pupil Viki Cabadaj (Jan Antonín Duchoslav), who earns his living as a ski instructor, by the lift. He is divorced, in the mountains with his daughter Jana, and when he finds out that his daughter Marika (Eva Jeníčková), whom he once applied for unsuccessfully, is visiting the cottage near Karda, he suggests that the teacher hold a meeting of former classmates at the cottage.
And that’s how it all begins. They will meet at the cottage obese Radek (Vaclav Kopta), owning a prosperous publishing house, successful TV entertainer Karel (Michal Suchánek), who will also come with his son Petr (Jakub Prachař), childless Soňa and Eva with two sons. Viki is disappointed because in the end only a handful of classmates arrive, yet they try to build on the past and revive memories.

In the film Snowdrops and Gnats, she spoke Mariku (Eva Jenickova) actress Ilona Svobodová. In the free sequel, Jeníčková already speaks in her own voice.
Due to the warm weather in the Giant Mountains, some scenes had to be shot afterwards. Artificial snow or abroad was even considered.
Kateřina Neumannová played herself as a ski instructor.
Karel Smyczek originally planned for one of the episodic roles, who directed the first film about students on a ski course. However, due to time, organizational and health reasons, this came to an end.
“Snowdrops and Machra 2” tried Jan Antonín Duchoslav, representative of Viki, to realize several years.
Eva Jeníčková and director Viktor Tauš formed a couple together during the filming. They finally sealed their relationship in 2010 with a wedding.
The second part with the subtitle “after twenty-five years” was published a total of 70 million crowns!
