Top 5 Largest Objects in Our Solar System: The Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune

RADARDEPOK.COM-In this vast universe, our solar system is an amazing place. Consists of eight planets, stars, asteroids, comets, and others. All of this makes our solar system so interesting to explore and study. Here are five of the largest objects in our solar system that are truly awe-inspiring:

1. The sun
The sun is the largest star in the solar system and is the main source of energy for life on Earth.

The sun has a diameter of about 1.4 million kilometers, more than 109 times the diameter of Earth, and has a mass of about 330,000 times that of Earth.

At the center of the Sun there is very high pressure and temperature, so the resulting energy creates intense light and heat.

2. Planet Jupiter

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system with a diameter of about 86,881 miles (139,822 km), more than twice the diameter of the solar system’s second largest planet, Saturn.

Jupiter has a mass of more than 300 times that of Earth and takes 12 years to go around the Sun.

Jupiter has an atmosphere rich in gases, including hydrogen, helium and methane. This planet also has many satellites and has a circle known as the “Belt of Jupiter”.

3. Planet Saturnus
Saturn is the second largest planet in our solar system, with a diameter of about 74,900 miles (120,500 km), and has a mass more than 95 times that of Earth.

Saturn has a well-known circle of ice and small rocks, and this circle extends up to 120,000 km from the planet. This planet also has many satellites, including its largest satellite, Titan.

4. Planet Uranus
Uranus is the third largest planet in our solar system, with a diameter of about 31,518 miles (50,724 km), about four times the diameter of Earth.

Uranus has a mass about 14 times that of Earth and has an atmosphere rich in hydrogen, helium and methane. The planet also has many moons, and rings of ice and small rocks.

5. The planet Neptune
Neptune is the fourth largest planet in our solar system, with a diameter of about 30,599 miles (49,244 km), almost four times that of Earth.

Neptune has a mass about 17 times that of Earth and is the farthest planet from the Sun in our solar system. The planet has an atmosphere rich in hydrogen, helium and methane, and also has many moons and rings.
