Before the opening of the beach season, experts in different European cities carried out an examination and talked about where the cleanest sea is for swimming. So, it leads the ranking in 2021 Republic of Cyprus.
According to European Environment Agency the island state of Cyprus has retained the status of a favorable bathing place. They noted that the water quality was considered “excellent” and received the highest score – “100%”.

Top ten countries the experts also included: Germany (89.9%), Italy (88.6%), Spain (88.5%), Belgium (79.7%) and France (77.5%). According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the minimum water quality requirements are met in 93% of coastal areas in Europe.
