When purchasing a used car, the future owner hopes that the car will not cause much trouble, writes “Behind the wheel” However, there are a number of cars that are not reliable. The WhatCar publication, together with the insurance company MotorEasy, conducted a study and found out which cars on the secondary market are definitely not worth buying.
The leader of the anti-rating was the Audi A3 2020 and younger. Almost 60% of those surveyed have had it repaired at least once over the past two years. In most cases, breakdowns were associated with failures in the navigation system and multimedia, as well as with batteries and transmission.
In second place was the Skoda Octavia in versions produced in 2020 and later; their owners also complained of frequent breakdowns of the multimedia and navigation system. Third place was taken by the Mazda 3 model in versions 2014–2019. 46% of respondents experienced breakdowns of this car. The most common problems occurred with brakes and electronics, but in most cases the repairs were carried out under warranty and took no more than one day.
