The oncologist listed the first five symptoms of brain cancer
What you should pay attention to.
Persistent headaches, unexplained nausea or vomiting, loss of coordination or weakness in the limbs, and problems with vision, hearing, or speech may be symptoms of a brain tumor. This was stated by oncologist Andrei Bazylev.
According to him, cancer can appear in a person at any age. However, the types of tumors differ and some of them can be deadly.
– There are benign and malignant brain tumors. The former respond well to treatment and removal surgery is sufficient to cure. The latter are prone to relapses and, in addition to surgery, additional treatment methods are needed: radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, Bazylev said in an interview with Channel 5.
The doctor emphasized that all types of tumors cause similar symptoms. However, if you experience one or more of the symptoms from the list, this does not mean that you have a brain tumor. Other diseases can also give such symptoms.
However, a person with such symptoms should consult a doctor and undergo an MRI of the brain to make an accurate diagnosis.
