Top 5 Android and iOS apps of the week

Midnight Girl asks you to explore 1960s Paris by solving puzzles, while Pzizz hopes to help you drift into dreamland with some truly calming sounds. 5 Minute Journal helps you begin your daily journey of introspection without causing anxiety.

Are you in a new city and want to make new friends? Supzy can help you. Finally, there is JustFitan app that hopes to help you exercise in the laziest way possible. This sounds like an oxymoron, and that’s what piqued our curiosity.

Midnight Girl (Android & iOS)

Ah, another puzzle-solving adventure that immerses you in 1960s Paris. This casual 2D adventure game clearly draws its influence from half a century ago with Parisian vibes, Belgian comics and heist films.

Monique, a tomboy who enjoys her adrenaline-filled escapades by relieving others of their valuables, ends up in prison and meets another strangely enigmatic thief who reveals to her the existence of a precious jewel. It’s a very entertaining story that takes the form of point-and-click, or rather point-and-touch, to progress.

I found myself having to look closely at each “room” or “panel” to remember something out of the ordinary or to think outside the box and see if something normal could be one of the key elements for progress through the game. The progression isn’t too difficult and I never really found myself stuck. Puzzle purists might object to how easy the game is to complete, but I think it provides a decent enough challenge in an age of increasingly limited attention spans.

Overall, the beautiful art direction, narrative pacing, and responsive controls work very well. Some may not like the messages that pop up every now and then to help you progress in the game, but I like these little nudges.

Pzizz (Android et iOS)

I don’t know about you, but there are days when things happen at work or, more generally, when life throws surprises at me and I have trouble falling asleep , even though I am physically very tired that day. There are apps for this, but Pzizz is a minimalist app that claims to help people like me fall asleep and, more importantly, stay asleep so they wake up refreshed.

Pzizz uses what she calls “dreamscapes”, which is a mix of music, voiceovers and sound effects specially designed to use the latest clinical research so that listeners can let themselves be lulled into dreamland in the blink of an eye or take a well-deserved nap during the day.
The user interface is simple. You can choose between Sleep, Nap, or Focus. Focus will only be unlocked if you decide to pay a subscription. Basically, it helps you get into the “zone” and increase your productivity with a suitable audio environment. I guess it works best with a pair of headphones.

The Nap and Sleep modules work in much the same way, although the former is shorter, as it should be. You choose the duration and let Pzizz send you to wonderland as quickly as possible. I can choose the type of storytelling and dreamscapes I like.

5 Minute Journal (Android and iOS)

Showing gratitude and being thankful is often neglected by us most of the time. I boil it down to the consumer mindset, “What’s in it for me?”, which has dulled our most altruistic senses. I feel much more at peace when I’m able to count my blessings (which don’t just come in the form of money, mind you!), and an app like 5 minute diary helps greatly. She harnesses the power of positive psychology to make me happier in just, well, 5 minutes!

I can choose to have reflections in the morning or evening, and I love that there’s a fantastic quote on the home screen to help me get into a more positive mindset. There’s also an emotion rating system that lets me know how I’m feeling that day, which allows me to look back after a while and see myself more objectively instead of staying in a cloud. of depression.

The user interface is extremely simple and easy to use. It actually takes very little time to get started, maybe a few minutes to update my entries, and it helps me steer my thoughts in the right direction before I start the rest of the day. Overall, I found this to be an intuitive journalism experience that can be adopted if previous journalism apps haven’t appealed to you.

There’s no money to invest in mental wellbeing, which made me wonder if paying a subscription for it is a small investment in mental health in the long run. I hope that future versions will allow me to add more photos each day, because there can be times when life is on an upward trajectory, and I would like to remember them. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Supzy (Android et iOS)

Don’t want another dating app? Well, you have no shortage of new pizzerias in New York, do you? Supzyformerly known as BeFriend, is an app that helps you get to know other people in your area. It claims to make it easier to meet people with the same interests as you, so you can make friends immediately! After all, moving to a new city or place can be a daunting experience if you’re alone without a social circle for emotional support.

In what Supzy is it different? Honestly, I didn’t find an obvious differentiator compared to other dating and friendship apps. If I had to face it, you would probably come across the same profiles in other similar apps. Browse them and get in touch, it works the same way.

You can, however, make voice and video calls, which helps reduce pre-meeting anxiety since you know exactly who the other person on the line looks like. It’s a lot less scary, and I appreciate this feature that helps protect users.

It also allows me to connect with communities that share the same interests, as I can share my thoughts and experiences for others to read. Of course, filtering users can still be difficult for the developer, and so you’re going to run into mentally disturbed people who may be homophobic, racist, or even make unwanted advances. There is no perfect app for dating and friendships, so this is something you should prepare yourself for if you decide to try it.

JustFit (Android et iOS)

It’s already October and before you know it, it will be time to move on to the New Year, with its usual resolutions. Fitness is always a topic on everyone’s mind, and JustFit allows me to start my fitness journey without having to have a gym membership or purchase expensive equipment.

I love that virtually all of their exercises come with a clear instructional video on how to do them, and that they can be performed virtually anywhere and anytime, even when I’m dressed casually. pathetic at home! This is ideal for those who don’t have time to go to the gym or organize to exercise outdoors.

Some of the plans include wall pilates and belly workouts that will help you fight belly fat. Of course, by paying an annual subscription you will have access to all the features of the application.
