Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain, said the new MacBook Pro will use displays from LG Display and Sharp, the same supplier for the iPad Pro. “We expect similar technologies in new computers such as oxide backplanes, miniLED backlights, and 120Hz refresh rates,” he said as quoted by Gizmochina, Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
Of all these features, Young specifically stated that the MiniLED has been confirmed. Alongside the new MacBooks, Apple is also expected to announce a new Mac Mini that will be powered by the same M1X chipset.
2. WhatsApp Develops New Feature Manage Chat and Community Backup
WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to manage the size of chat and community backups for group chats. News of the two new features came from WhatsApp’s new feature tracking website, WABetaInfo.
According to WABetaInfo, the messaging app is working on a dedicated ‘Manage backup size’ section to allow users to manage sizes before uploading them to the cloud. WhatsApp for Android beta 2.21.21.7 seems to have some references to an update for the feature.

The screenshots shared by WABetaInfo also illustrate how the new section will allow users to manage the size of their backups by excluding photos, audio or documents from their backups. However, the beta testers haven’t seen the changes in the end as the changes are said to be still in development.
