“Top 20 Best-Selling Cars in Indonesia for April 2023: Toyota Dominates, Mitsubishi Xpander Takes #1 Spot”

Neither the Honda Brio nor the Toyota Avanza were the best-selling cars in the fourth month of this year. Here is a list of the 20 best-selling cars in Indonesia throughout April 2023.

Car sales in Indonesia in April 2023 experienced a decline. According to data released by the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), wholesale sales only reached 58,911 units, while retail sales touched 68,534 units. Understandably, in April there is a moment of Idul Fitri where the working day is shorter and usually affects sales.

In total, in the first four months, 341,311 units of cars were sent from factories to dealers and 339,962 units distributed to consumers. The best-selling car brand is still held by Toyota with wholesale sales of 21,518 units. It’s no wonder that the list of best-selling cars is dominated by Toyota. There are seven Toyota car models that occupy the best-selling car list.

Following behind him is Daihatsu which distributes 10,778 units of its cars from factories to dealers. The third position is occupied by Mitsubishi with a score of 6,132 units. It was only then followed by Honda with 4,955 units and Suzuki with 4,668 units. In positions six to ten, not much has changed, there are Hyundai, Mitsubishi Fuso, Isuzu, Hino, and also Wuling.

Meanwhile, regarding the best-selling car, Honda Brio’s position was shifted. Distribution of Brio decreased drastically. This is due to the new-looking Brio that has just launched on the market. For this reason, the position of the best-selling car in the fourth month of this year was occupied by the Mitsubishi Xpander. On a wholesale basis, Xpander and Xpander Cross distributed 3,747 units.

Under Xpander, there is the Toyota Avanza with a distribution of 3,727 units. Occupying the third position on the best-selling car list is the Kijang Innova with a distribution of 3,645 units.
