After 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification enter matchday secondly, it is certain that a national team will secure tickets to the finals in Qatar next year. The following two state teams qualify for 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.
The Qatar U-23 national team is the first country confirmed to appear in the U-23 Asian Cup next year because it has the status of host.
Qatar does not need to qualify to compete in front of its own supporters. Meanwhile, 40 other countries are struggling in the qualifications which started in the middle of last week.
From the series of qualifications that have taken place, there is one country that has confirmed a place in the finals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.
The Vietnam U-23 national team won tickets to Qatar after winning two matches in Group C. After winning 6-0 over Guam, Vietnam beat Yemen 1-0. By pocketing six points, Vietnam is certain to move to the next phase.
Vietnam’s points cannot be matched by the other two countries in Group C, Singapore and Guam. Meanwhile, Yemen, which was the only country that could match Vietnam’s points, lost head to head.
Apart from Vietnam, there are several other countries that have also scored six points from two matches, but have not been able to confirm tickets to Qatar because the competition is still quite tight in their respective groups.
Countries that have collected six points from two matches include Jordan, Japan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, there are also leaders in the standings who consist of three countries and are still waiting for the final match on September 12, such as Indonesia, Australia, China and South Korea.
