Unless the situation changes, South African international newcomer Elton Jantjies will be joining Toulon in the coming days, after being released by his Japanese Japanese due to a sexual relationship.

Jantjies has already played in France
Soon free from any contract, Jantjies will be able to join the RCT, as an additional player, replacing Julien Blanc, who left for Castres. The South African rookie has already had a fling in France, near Pau, where he played three Top 14 games in May 2021. During his time at Béarn he had scored six penalties and four transformations. The rest of his career, Jantjies spent between South Africa (mainly with the Golden Lions, in addition to the 2013 season with the Stormers) and Japan (with the Urayasu D-Rocks between 2015 and 2018, before playing a game with Osaka in January 2022). He will now return to France, where he hopes to become a major player at RCT, which has had a great start to the season, with four wins in six games, last Saturday against Brive (47-0).
