TOP 10 of the exhibition “Auto 2021” – you must see it!

This weekend – from September 24 to 26 – the car industry exhibition “Auto 2021” takes place. Before releasing the brakes in Ķīpsala, we offer a look at the TOP 10 of the exhibition.

Audi e-tron GT

With its first sporty electric car, Audi is demonstrating how exciting electric mobility can be. There is no doubt about the capabilities and capabilities of the Audi e-tron GT, as it is built on a common platform with the Porsche Taycan. As a result, the most powerful versions of the Audi RS e-tron GT develop 600 horsepower, allowing you to accelerate from the ground to 100 km / h in less than three seconds. In addition, a full battery charge will last up to 500 km.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

Before even reaching the dealer’s dealerships, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 became a big deal. Those who wanted to see it in person before the purchase are now forced to wait in line for almost a year. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has successfully embodied the features of a vintage design, and the car is significantly larger than it looks in photos. In the fiercest version has two electric motors with more than 300 horsepower, all-wheel drive and a sports car-worthy five-second acceleration to 100 km / h. If you drive such a car only in the city, then a full battery charge will suffice for up to 600 km.

Toyota GR Yaris

Basically a rally car that can be used on public roads. Definitely, the Toyota GR Yaris will become the same automotive legend as, for example, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale. The new Toyota GR Yaris was designed as an FIA homologation vehicle to allow the body and technology to be used in the World Rally Championship (WRC). As a result, the Toyota GR Yaris has acquired the most powerful series-produced 1.6-liter engine with 260 horsepower. The car has a permanent all-wheel drive and manual transmission. Several car journalists around the world admit that this is the most interesting new car of the last decade.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe

The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most well-known SUVs in the world. Usually, such robust and legendary models embody the latest trends in the automotive industry only when they have already become a self-evident standard. However, Jeep has already started to focus on electrification and has chosen one of its most significant models for this purpose. The Wrangler 4xe is a rechargeable hybrid that develops 380 hp. In 100% electric mode, it is capable of driving up to 40 km, but in combination with a petrol engine, the average fuel consumption will be only five liters of fuel per 100 km.

Porsche Taycan

Although electric cars are no longer new to the automotive industry, the category of the sportiest car was dominated by the American Tesla. However, the German sports car manufacturer Porsche has already created a dynamically worthy opponent with the first shot – the electric car “Taycan”, which develops 761 horsepower in the “Turbo S” version and accelerates to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds. Despite the supercar-worthy dynamics, the Porsche Taycan can cover considerable distances of up to 450 km on a fully charged battery. In addition, the Taycan is also available in a crossover version, the Cross Turismo, which also has a larger luggage compartment.

530 horsepower hotrods

The body of an antique American car combined with modern tuning elements – the front wheels are narrow as a small car, but the rear is wider than the bus. Such hotrods would fit perfectly in the movie “Crazy Max”. In addition, it is quite powerful – equipped with a modern Chevrolet 7.4-liter V8 compressor engine, which develops 530 horsepower.

Opel Mokka-e

Almost 10 years ago, when the first-generation Opel Mokka made its debut and the compact SUV segment just started to pick up speed, it immediately became in high demand. With the presentation of the new, now second generation, demand continues to grow. The new Opel Mokka, on the other hand, has won the hearts of consumers with its stylish design and the reliability of the first-generation model. In addition, for the first time, this model is also available in a 100% electric version.

70. gadu “Dodge Challenger”

The American muscular five- or six-liter engine is standard, but the first-generation Dodge Challenger also stood out with a version equipped with a 7.2-liter V8 engine that develops 395 horsepower. As a result, today, the 440 Six Pack modification car is particularly valuable and coveted, as it not only has one of the largest muscle engines, but was also a rarity at the time – only a tenth of all first-generation Dodge Challenger vehicles were equipped with this 7.2 liter engine.

BMW M2 Carbon

The 410-horsepower BMW M2 Competition is a sporty version of this model. The exclusive car sales, restoration and conversion company Lucky Thirteen made it even sportier. The car has become lighter, replacing several body panels with carbon fiber (so-called carbon) panels, which are also made here in Latvia. Lucky Thirteen uses this material to make the bonnet, boot lid, front and rear bumper liners, and more.

Nismo Skyline GT-R

The Skyline GT-R, created by Nismo or Nissan Motorsport International, is a Japanese cult car that was not officially available in Europe. However, it is very well known in the region by sports car enthusiasts or at least lovers of the film “Fast and the Furious”. The exhibition features the fourth generation or R33 model, which was produced from 1995 to 1998. Depending on the version, it develops up to 400 horsepower and accelerates to 100 km / h in about four seconds.

As you know, from September 24 to 26 at the exhibition “Auto 2021” you can get acquainted with the current offer of the industry in three thematic expositions: new cars and commercial vehicles in the section “New cars”, car repair tools, service equipment, spare parts, maintenance products and accessories ” Auto Mechanics ”and in the loudest, most colorful section – in the tuning show“ Auto Exotica ”.
