Which passport can really get you everywhere? We show which countries allow the most travel destinations without a visa and which countries are more likely to have to get used to queuing. Spoiler: Germany is once again at the top!
1. Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Singapore – 194 destinations
It’s no wonder that Germans know almost no borders when it comes to traveling – with 194 possible countries, they are in first place. France, Italy, Spain and Singapore are also proudly ranked. Here too, Japan secures a place in the passport Olympus!
2. Finland, South Korea, Sweden – 193 destinations
Scandinavia and South Korea are basically the cool cousins in the family celebration of freedom of travel. With 193 countries they can visit without a visa, Finns, Swedes and Koreans are just behind the world’s top passport holders. Almost as good as Germany – but only almost.
3. Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands – 192 destinations
In the “Glory to the Neighbors” category, Austria made it onto the podium with 192 countries. The Netherlands and Ireland also have virtually free entry to the coolest destinations. Cheers to the Dutch Orange Pass!

4. Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Great Britain – 191 destinations
Even though Brexit has brought with it a few hurdles, the British passport is still going strong – a little hurray for the British! Belgium and Luxembourg join Portugal and Norway in fourth place, making it clear that you don’t see many “No Entry” signs in Europe.
5. Greece, Malta, Switzerland – 190 destinations
For Greece and Switzerland: with such a pass you can not only climb mountains or explore islands, but also simply visit 190 countries without any major formalities. That’s something! Also interesting: A passenger books the front row on the plane and can hardly believe her eyes when she sees her seat.
6. Australia, Czech Republic, New Zealand, Poland – 189 destinations
Down Under and Eastern European cool are around the corner with 189 possible countries. Good news for Australia and New Zealand, after all, their nearest neighbors are far away. After all, if you’re flying for a long time, you don’t want to have to worry about visa stuff.
7. Canada, Hungary, USA – 188 destinations

9. Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia – 186 destinations
With 186 destinations, Latvia, Slovakia and Slovenia proudly rank 9th. And while other countries may have more destinations, these nations enjoy traveling in style and with little formality.

10. Iceland – 185 travel destinations
Iceland rounds off our list and shows: Fewer inhabitants, but plenty of travel opportunities. Icelanders can travel to 185 countries with their passport, which is perfect for adventurers who sometimes just need to get away – ideally to warmer climes.
