With the clown wig ready and the expectations of the possible last Nintendo Switch event arrives on Nintendo Direct this Tuesday, October 26. The double event brings together a Partner Showcase and an Indie World to possibly bid farewell to all the new products before the arrival of the successor console. And on the horizon there are dreams about Silksong, a trailer for Sonic 3 and many predictions for the more than 40 minutes.
The excitement without the feeling of trolling in front of a Nintendo third party always comes from Team Cherry, the suit jacket and the disappointment with SilksongThe sequel to the upcoming Hollow Knight has been tied to the Japanese company’s event for years after the first link almost a decade ago. And every connection is obligatory even if the situation is totally different now.
With many important releases until the end of the year, this Nintendo Direct seems like a joint farewell to push the latest titles. And at the same time a gateway for indie titles with all kinds of names, although there is a long way between the real possibilities and the desired ones. Hence this list of predictions with games of all kinds.
The most important concept is that being a duplicate event, it seems difficult to imagine particularly powerful third party games. First of all, the end of the current console and secondly because there won’t be the weight of so many other quotes knowing all the presentations in the last direct. And even so, I feel Nintendo, some surprise is guaranteed.
MySims leak, Zelda and Mario Party trailers
The leaks around MySims and the possible release date of Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics are the main assets. That, together with the Nintendo game pack until the end of 2024, is the basis for simple bets. And bingo is more assured here than in any other space. News about Neva, from the creators of Gris, could be an interesting point for indies.

All-in for Pokémon Legends ZA
It’s a confirmed IP, but we don’t know yet which console. Pokémon Legends ZA doesn’t have easy access in this Nintendo Direct, but it’s a real possibility to go beyond the first teaser where we only saw Luminalia City. The appearance of moderately relevant names leaves this list with two or three hits as a triumph. That’s why everything depends on the ports and some future news. And the Gamescom demo with the new Dragon Quest III HD-2D points to having continuity in the Nintendo Direct.
- Trailer con gameplay de Dragon Quest II HD-2D
- Genshin Impact (possible)
- Xenoblade X Port (probable)

Silksong is not the only impossible dream
The dream of Metroid Prime 4 was a reality in the last Nintendo Direct, but going further now seems impossible. Unless Nintendo aspires to something bigger for Switch 2, all the big announcements go through the Third Parties. That’s why it’s easy to think big with Final Fantasy Tactics or similar crazy things like Silksong.
- Silksong (unexpected surprise)
- Final Fantasy IX (unexpected surprise)
- Final Fantasy Tactics (unexpected surprise)
- Chrono Trigger (unexpected surprise)
- Metroid Prime 2 and 3 Remaster (Unexpected Surprise)
- Port of Kunitsu Gami (unexpected surprise)
