In a study revealed a few days ago, SeLoger ranked the cities in which parking spaces were the most expensive for French motorists in 2021. More surprisingly, these prices are not correlated with housing prices.
Which French city (with more than 100,000 inhabitants) offers the most expensive parking spaces in 2021? Suspense over, it is the city of Nice with an average price of € 31,305, according to a SeLoger study unveiled a few days ago. “Nissa la bella” therefore ranks at the top of this ranking just ahead of Paris, with an average budget of € 31,152.
Another city in the Ile-de-France region, Boulogne-Billancourt is placed on the third step of the podium with parking spaces on average at € 29,395. Bordeaux, Lyon and Lille come next. On the other side of this top 10, the most interesting cities to acquire a place are Reims (€ 18,494), Toulouse (€ 19,099) and Toulon (€ 19,970).
Inflation of rental rates
However, these prices do not depend at all on housing prices in these cities. SeLoger specifies that “The price per m² in Paris peaks at 10,727 €, a parking space costs” only “31,152 €”. And conversely, “With a price per square meter in Nice which is limited to € 4,426, buying a parking space costs € 31,305”.
Direct consequence of these prices: the rental prices of car parks. A survey by the monsieurparking.com site in the summer of 2020 revealed that it is also in Nice that the bill is increasingly high with an amount of 145 € / month on average, up 4.36% on a year. On the side of the capital, prices are down in 6 districts, even if the budget remains high with 155 € / month on average.
TOP 10 cities where parking spaces are more expensive:
- Nice (31 305€) ;
- Paris (31 152€) ;
- Boulogne-Billancourt (€ 29,395);
- Bordeaux (26 604€) ;
