The automotive resource Car and Driver provided an interesting statistic about the sales of the most popular car models in the US for the first quarter of this year.
The top spot is no surprise, as Ford F-Series pickups once again lead the way, this time with 170,377 units, with sales up 21% over the same period last year. Sales of the F-150 Lightning electric pickup were 4,291.
For the first three months of 2023, Chevy Silverado sales reached 123,994 vehicles, allowing the model to take second place in the ranking, while sales of the Ram pickup fell 17% to 105,350 units. As a result, the model takes third place.
With 85,000 cars sold in the first three months of the year, the Tesla Model Y is fourth in the ranking, followed by the Toyota RAV4 (84,704 units), the Nissan Rogue/X-Trail (76,499 units), the Honda CR-V (67,241 units) and GMC Sierra (67,198 units).
The Toyota Camry with a result of 66,037 cars sold for the first quarter of this year takes ninth place, and the Tesla Model 3 closes the top ten with a result of 63,000 cars sold.
