It was during a test jump before the World Cup competition in Planica that the accident occurred. Daniel-André Tande lost control of the game and fell headlong into the ground. The 27-year-old was taken to the university hospital in Ljubljana where he was placed in an artificial coma.
Investigations showed that he broke his collarbone and had a punctured lung.
