Tool drummer Danny Carey recently performed live with a group of young musicians in last Saturday’s men’s basketball game (December 11) between the Missouri Tigers and the Kansas Jayhawks of the NCAA.
Carey lent his ever-so-impressive talents behind the kit for a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s Fire.
The game took place at the Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas. Below are some footage filmed by a Carey fan near the kit.
That same weekend, Carey was arrested at the Kansas City airport after fighting with someone inside the terminal, according to TMZ.
Police sources told TMZ that airport police intervened on Sunday evening (December 12) to report a disturbance between two men. When they arrived at the scene, they arrested Carey and transported him to a nearby police station.
The 60-year-old musician was arrested for minor assault and released on bail. The police report has been forwarded to prosecutors for review, and possible charges will follow.
