During the various questions of the municipal council on November 24, the president of the community of communes Tannay Brinon Corbigny (CTBC), Jean-Charles Rochard, returned to the elected community representatives in a meeting recently organized with the doctors of the Corbigny Health Center and which was the subject of their sending a report to the town halls of the sector.
Malfunctions?
The operators have reported findings that amount to serious malfunctions concerning this building, owned by the community of municipalities. They concern the maintenance of the car park, the cost deemed prohibitive for the maintenance of heating and green spaces, or the charges for electricity. They reiterated their request for an extension to welcome, in particular, physiotherapists and any new specialist professionals.
Social center, slaughterhouse, health care under discussion
Requests arrived in a particularly tense context in Corbigny due to lack of doctors and these threats to leave, if the situation does not change. Jean-Charles Rochard recalled that the extension project has not been abandoned and that it has been included in the planning of the 2nd phase in the framework contract with the Department and in the contract signed with the State for tomorrow’s small towns (for Corbigny). However, the community of communes is already committed to other investments by 2023-2024 that cannot be stopped, including the new Corbigny social centre. For obvious financial reasons, all these projects cannot be implemented at the same time.
Corbigny is desperate for a new doctor
The president also stressed that there were vacant community premises in the area to immediately accommodate healthcare workers awaiting the new construction: a lavatory at the MSP of Corbigny, another at that of Tannay, a third at the Maison des notaires of Brinon-sur – Beuvron. Jean-Charles Rochard has received the refill elements communicated by the doctors, they are being analyzed and an audit of the heating system will be carried out with recommendations for solving the problem.
A commission was set up to study the responses
During the last city council meeting on Friday 16 December, in Cervon, a commission was set up to permanently meet the needs of professionals and allow the installation of new professionals, indicates the mayor of Corbigny, Maryse Peltier. “We will study the problems that can be encountered in terms of poor workmanship or excessive operating costs. Heating bills will be reviewed. Maintenance and green spaces may need to be reviewed. As for the expansion projects, studies will begin in 2023, assures the mayor of Corbigny. As for the practitioner’s departure, it would not yet be formally registered, even if the latter would like to leave at the beginning of next year (in March?), while remaining in the area. But Maryse Peltier hopes to persuade him to stay.
