Too late already, if Salah and Kane want to move

Jakarta

Jamie Carragher judged it Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane already missed the best opportunity to move to a top club. He also predicts that Salah and Kane will not be going anywhere.

Attacker Liverpool, Mohamed Salah and the striker Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane, is often touted as the best striker in the Premier League in recent seasons. Their future at their respective clubs is often a matter of speculation.

Salah is often reported to be the target of Real Madrid and Barcelona. While Kane was linked with Manchester United and Manchester City, as well as Real Madrid.

However, until now both of them are still in their respective clubs. Jamie Carragher thinks Salah and Kane have missed the best opportunity to move because they are no longer young. Salah will turn 29 in June, while Kane will turn 28 in July.

“I think he (Salah) will be there (Liverpool) for the next few years. I think he is in a similar position to Harry Kane,” Carragher said in Robbie Fowler’s podcast as reported. Mirror.

“They are probably the two best goalscorers in the Premier League at the moment. They are at an age where no one will pay dearly for them.”

“I think they might have missed the opportunity if they wanted to go, whether it be to Real Madrid or Barcelona. Or Harry Kane to Man United or Man City.”

“For those two players, I think you’re talking about 120 million pounds, maybe more, and I don’t think anyone would spend that kind of money on a player at that age now.”

Jamie Carragher also said the Spanish giants might prefer Kylian Mbappe or the younger Erling Haaland.

“I think they might prefer to pay 200 million pounds for Mbappe because of his young age. Maybe the same as Haaland, they get more than the two players,” continued Carragher.

“I think they (Salah and Kane) are basically too late to maximize the opportunity. Also with Covid and the financial situation, the two Spanish giants have no more resources.”

“Liverpool will not let Salah move to a fellow English team. And do you want to play at PSG instead of Liverpool? I would be very surprised if he did it in the French League. I think Salah will stay,” he added.
