JAKARTA – Price tes rapid antigen many people complain. The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has set the Highest Retail Price (HET) for the rapid antigen test of IDR 250 thousand. But the price is still considered too high.

“The Rp250,000 HET rapid antigen test turned out to be too expensive. Because, according to the information I received, the basic price was only Rp. 50,000,” said Chairman of the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) Tulus Abadi in a statement received SINDOnews, Sunday (27/6/2021).

The price difference, he said, was too far. In difficult times like today, the difference between HET and the basic price is too far, it shows that there are parties who make profits behind the difficulties of the community. As a result, people are reluctant to take rapid tests independently.

“Don’t take too much profit. Don’t be too commercial in the midst of a pandemic like this, it’s unethical,” he said.

He urged the Ministry of Health to revise its policy. So the market price becomes more reasonable. At a more affordable price.
